Winterization December 1st – April 1st

As we enter into the winter season, investors must make sure to preserve their property. A simple and effective way to protect property from cold temperatures to winterize property. This will save you thousands in repairs and save deals from falling apart because of broken pipes prior to closing.

1. Make sure to turn off water at main from inside home. The shut off valve is usually located close to the water meter.

2. Set thermostat to 58 degrees.

3. Drain water lines such as faucet, toilet, tubs, sinks etc…

4. Place Winterization Notice on counter letting brokers, buyers not to use bathrooms. (This notice will have instructions for home inspector to turn off water after inspection has been completed.)
